The 2009 Queensland Life Sciences Globally Engaging Event brought together, in Brisbane, a number of key North American, European, Asian and African Life Sciences Leaders who were in Queensland to attend TRX09 on 23 October 2009, and the Queensland Investment Forum on 26 October 2009.
Export Awards | Wednesday 21 October
2009 marked the 20th anniversary of the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards. The awards provided a showcase for Queensland’s top exporters, and a means to promote them as role models, encouraging others to strive for success in world markets. Finalists and winners were announced at the dinner presentation ceremony on Wednesday 21 October 2009 in Brisbane.

Translational Research Excellence (TRX09) | Friday 23 October
The inaugural TRX symposium stimulated trans-disciplinary interaction and collaborations across all areas of human disease research, drug and diagnostic discovery and development, and bioinformatics, and across academia, biopharmaceutical industry and government. QCTN will hold this event every two years, establishing a flagship conference for the region. The TRX09 program involved speakers from Korea, Japan, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Germany, amongst others.

The Queensland Life Sciences Globally Engaging Networking Event brought together a number of key North American, European, Asian and African Life Sciences Leaders, and the guest speaker for this event was The Honourable Peter Beattie - Former Premier of Queensland and now Queensland’s Trade Commissioner for the Americas.
